Referral Procedures

The referral process in the Tahoma School District complies with the Washington State legislation  (WAC 392-170-076)

Secondary

Referrals for the Middle School Highly Capable ELA/SS Program will open January 3, 2022.  The referral form can be found at the link below.  Forms are due January 23, 2022. **Current 5th grade Cougar & Discovery students will be automatically placed into the middle school ELA/SS block class for the 2022-2023 school year.  No referral is necessary.**

Elementary

The referral window for K, 1, 3 & 4 begins on January 31, 2022. Referral forms will be available once the referral period opens and can be found at the links below.  Forms are due February 20, 2022.
