Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Vaccination Clinic for Ages 5-11

On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the CDC authorized Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in 5-11 year olds, which followed the same authorization by the FDA. Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority (PSRFA) is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic exclusively for children ages 5-11 on Saturday Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 15 at Glacier Park Elementary School. There are remaining appointments available from 10:35 a.m. – 1:55 p.m. Children do not need to be Tahoma students to receive their vaccine at this clinic.

Students must be registered online ahead of time (no walk-ins). Here are some details to keep in mind when registering your child for their vaccination:

Families who register their child for their first dose on Jan. 15 can schedule their child to receive a second dose of the Pfizer Pediatric vaccine (this is the only vaccine currently available at these clinics), which will also be administered at Glacier Park Elementary on Feb. 5.

- If a student receives their first dose on Jan. 15, they can receive their second dose on Feb. 5.

- If a student received their first dose at the PSRFA clinic on Jan. 8, they were already scheduled to receive their second dose on Jan. 29.

- PSRFA is not able to offer flexibility with scheduling the second dose, so we strongly encourage you to only register your child if they can receive their second dose on the scheduled date. This will avoid unused doses being thrown away.

- Students will not be able to receive their first dose on Jan 29 or Feb. 5, and can only receive their second dose on those dates if they received their first dose at Glacier Park Elementary on Jan. 8 or 15.

Tahoma students are not required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 to attend school. For questions, please contact PSRFA here.
