Dear Tahoma Community,
You are invited to a special mental health awareness event called “Ending the Silence.” It’s an engaging virtual presentation that will help audience members learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition.

Presented for the Tahoma community by the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), the event is from 6:30-8 p.m. on Nov. 12 via Zoom.

This is designed for parents/guardians and secondary students, as well as for teachers and staff members. Older elementary students may attend if their parent/guardian wishes.

NAMI Ending the Silence presentations include two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery. Audience members can ask questions and gain understanding of an often-misunderstood topic.

Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end stigma. Please fill out this google form if you would like to participate. The event is free.
