Referral Procedures
The referral process in the Tahoma School District complies with the Washington State legislation (WAC 392-170-076)
All grade 2 students will be screened for highly capable services. No referral necessary.
The 2022-2023 highly capable referral window for all grades, K-1 and 3-7 will be September 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. Referrals submitted after December 31st, will still be accepted but may not be considered for evaluation until the 2023-2024 school year for services that would start in the 2024-2025 school year.
