When will my child start school?
The first day of school for kindergarten students in the fall of 2024 will be Tuesday, September 3. Kindergarten students and their parents will attend an individual Family Connection Meeting with their teacher prior to starting school. These meetings typically take 20-30 minutes and will be scheduled to take place during the first three days of the school year.
When will we know who our child's teacher will be?
We will be making final classroom placements for all students during the summer. We hope to contact parents, approximately the middle of August, to share classroom teacher assignments.
Is my child kindergarten ready? Use the Kindergarten Readiness Guidelines to identify your child's strengths and growth areas. This form details the skills we hope our incoming students will have prior to the start of school. We encourage you to work on these skills with your child to assist in their school readiness.
The state-funded, full-day kindergarten program is called WaKIDS.
