Posted on 04/18/2024

So much happens in our schools and in our district; it can be difficult to keep track of it all. This page is updated every week with the most important announcements for families, so feel free to bookmark this page and come back as needed.

Here's what you need to know for this week:

Father-Daughter Ball Happening Saturday

Calling all dads, bonus dads, grandfathers, uncles, and godfathers! Create joy in your girl’s heart at this year’s Father-Daughter ball, hosted by the Tahoma High School PTA. The event is this Saturday, April 20 from 6–9 p.m. at Tahoma High School. This year’s theme is Hawaiian Luau, and proceeds from the event go to support the PTA Scholarship Fund. Pre-register for the event here (discounted rate), or register at the door. Questions may be directed to [email protected].

Ballots Mailed for April 23 Special Election

Election Day is less than one week away for the April 2024 Special Election. A replacement for our expiring Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy is on the ballot. If the measure does not pass, there will be a shortfall of at least $15 million for next school year’s budget. This would mean significant cuts to student programs, staff positions, extracurricular activities and more. Learn more about the Replacement Levy at www.tahomasd.us/levy.

Spring Prevention Event with Amy Neville
Tuesday, April 23 | THS Library | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

Join us at the THS Library to hear Amy Neville share her story about losing her son to fentanyl poisoning after purchasing on social media. Amy helps youth navigate social media, prioritize mental wellbeing and understand the dangers of fentanyl. Community partners and resources will be available after the presentation. RSVP Here.
