Only the Essentials: What You Need to Know This Week
Posted on 02/14/2024

So much happens in our schools and in our district; it can be difficult to keep track of it all. This page is updated every week with the most important announcements for families, so feel free to bookmark this page and come back as needed.

Here's what you need to know for this week:

Inclement Weather Make-Up Days
Friday, March 22 and Friday, May 24

Due to the two missed days of school in January, Friday, March 22, 2024 and Friday, May 24, 2024 are now school days. These two dates were built into the school calendar as inclement weather make-up days. Friday, March 22 will be a regular Friday 2-hour early release day for all levels. Friday, May 24 will be a 2-hour early release day for elementary students, and a 3-hour early release day for middle school and high school students.

Friday, May 24, 2024 will be a “green day” for Tahoma High School. Seniors will present their Senior Oral Boards on that day (originally scheduled for Thursday, May 23). Tahoma High School families will receive more information from their school about May 24 as the day approaches.

The district calendar and the Tahoma High School calendar have been updated on our website. To see the calendars, please visit: www.tahomasd.us/our_district/school-year_calendars
